Ludwig USA Legacy 20" Downbeat Shell Pack

Ludwig originally introduced their 3-ply shell formula back in 1923. At the time they claimed it was built "....in accordance with the recognized correct principles used in the manufacture of airplanes." Whilst the aerospace industry may have made a few advancements over the years, it's fair to say the principles laid down in the early part of the 20th century are still regarded as the holy grail of drum design. The Ludwig Legacy brings together cutting edge manufacturing with these time-honoured practices to create a cult-classic.

Shell

3-ply Cross-Laminated Mahogany or North American Maple shell, each featuring a poplar core.

Included in this shell pack:

20"x14" Bass Drum.
12"x08" Rack Tom
14"x14" Floor Tom.
x3 Floor Tom Legs

There is sometimes a limited supply of Legacy kits available from stock either here at the store or from the main Ludwig warehouse here in the UK. However, most people prefer to spec their perfect kit and have it custom made especially for them.

The Ludwig Legacy series has many custom upgrades available including internal mufflers, various drum mounting options, bass drum hoops and spurs. Most of these carry an additional cost and would need to be calculated separately before the order was placed with the factory.

Custom order Ludwig drums from the Monroe, North Carolina factory normally take between 4-6 months from the point of order depending on the chosen finish.
